We can't predict or control natural disasters, but we CAN do our best to be prepared.

This community information session provides practical ways to ensure you're appropriately covered if the worst happens. It is also an opportunity to meet your neighbours and create community connections.

Topics covered will include:

• Different ways you can be legally prepared for a disaster (eg. an inventory of belongings, important paperwork etc)

• Getting and checking your insurance. Do you have the right policy? Is there enough coverage? What are your obligations re. maintaining your property?

• What to do if a disaster happens - immediate actions and making a claim.
