About the event
Jesmonite is a composite material used in fine arts, crafts, and construction. It consists of a gypsum-based material in an acrylic resin which can be used for a variety of different uses.
Learn everything you need to know about casting Jesmonite homewares in this 3 hour workshop including measuring, mixing, pouring, colouring, creating terrazzo and marbled patterns, and how to de-mould, sand and lacquer to create a professional finish. many different mould options available such as trays, coasters, trinket boxes, plant pots and more.
You will learn:
- How to measure and mix jesmonite.
- How to colour and create different patterns using pigments.
- How to de-mould, sand and lacquer to create a professional finish.
and take home 4 - 5 completed jesmonite homewares on the day.
